THIS is the terrifying moment a manic man rammed into the side of a taxi with his ‘abused wife’ inside, as a hero driver rushes her to safety.
The chilling incident was captured on dashcam footage, where both the female driver and passenger can be heard screaming.
The footage – released by the Vancouver Police – shows the moment the driver called 911 as the man hits the vehicle four times.
The driver was able to escape the crazed husband and drove to a nearby police station for safety, saving both their lives.
She was injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
The ramming attack almost sent the car hurtling down a 20-foot embankment.
Cops later confirmed the back of the car collapsed and the rear windshield was left shattered from the force of the impact.
In a statement to social media, the police thanked the driver for her quick thinking, saying she likely saved the passenger’s life.
“We want to acknowledge the incredible courage and quick thinking of the ride-share driver, whose actions likely prevented a tragedy,” the statement read.
Investigators believe the female passenger had been on her way home from work at the time of the ramming.
The ramming car – owned by the woman’s husband – has since been found, however the man still remains at large and wanted by police.
Police say they are treating the incident as a case of domestic violence, and are working with local agencies to ensure the safety of the women involved in the attack.
Another shocking car ramming took place following a brazen daylight robbery in Turkey.
The shocking footage shows the moments Ukrainian tourist Dymitro Chaban was waiting in his car outside a hotel in Alanya, Turkey, when two men on the back of a motorbike decide to attempt a smash and grab.
One of the helmet wearing thieves grabbed a bag with $40,985 (€35,000) of cash and ran, when Chaban made chase.
He eventually caught up with the thieves, crashing into them.
The collision ultimately killed the two thieves – identified as Murat Orhan Gündüz and Elnur Behbulda Gündüz.
Chaban was given a life sentence for “deliberately killing” the two men, in a sentence hearing at Alanya 1st High Criminal Court.
He will spend 25 years behind bars for causing their deaths.
