WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police in D.C. have launched a homicide investigation after a man was found shot Sunday night.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told DC News Now that just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 16, officers responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of Knox Place SE.
There, D.C. police found a man who had been shot multiple times.
Medics arrived and tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
The victim’s name has not been released as of Monday morning.
Police said no arrests have been made and encouraged anyone with information to call 202-727-9099. Tips can also be submitted by texting the police department’s tip line at 50411. Both calls and texts can remain anonymous.
This shooting is one of many that have taken place across the District over the last 48 hours.
