The biggest night in Hollywood has arrived, and KTLA 5 will have boots on the ground to bring you all the action.
KTLA’s Omar Lewis was almost all alone on the Oscars red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, during the figurative — and literal — calm before the storm.
“We’re owning the red carpet here,” Lewis said while taking a stroll down the carpet, where dozens of stars will walk on Sunday. “This is where the glitz meets the gold.”
Fans were already gathering outside on Sunday morning hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars.
Among those stars walking the carpet later will be Adrien Brody (“The Brutalist”) and Demi Moore (“The Substance”), who are favored to take home the Best Leading Actor and Actress awards respectively.
Meanwhile, the Best Picture race is as wide open as ever. “Anora” is the favorite since it’s done well during award season thus far, but a win for “Conclave” would be far from the most shocking upset for the Oscars’ most valuable prize.
Can’t wait for the big night? Then keep your eyes on KTLA 5 starting at 1 p.m. PST for the annual “Live from the Oscars” red carpet spectacular featuring Jessica Holmes, Megan Henderson, Doug Kolk and Michael Yo as they catch up with the stars and more before the ceremony begins.
Watch “Live from the Oscars” on KTLA 5 and streaming live the free KTLA+ app for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV and newer Samsung smart TVs starting at 1 p.m.
