Field hockey
Perry Hall 7, Patapsco 0: Makayla Kurcoba scored four goals and assisted on another to lead the Gators in the win Thursday. Sophie Blevins hit the cage twice and Brittney Hernandez also scored a goal. Victoria Sanchez had two assists, while Delaney Evans and Abby McAleer also handed out assists.
Bryn Mawr 2, Broadneck 1: Addie Polakoff and Sabine Schwartz each scored to lead the host Mawrtians (7-1) over the Bruins. The win was their third straight. Cayman Holmes scored the lone goal for Broadneck.
Francis Scott Key 2, Century 1: Carley Topper scored twice in the third to lead the Eagles in a come-from-behind win over the Knights at the Coppermine 4 Seasons. Jena Stambaugh and Bella Mazan had an assist and Maddy Dehoff made nine saves for FSK. For Century, Azhuh Ponte scored off an assist from Abby Kristian.
Volleyball
Maryvale 3, John Carroll 0: The host Lions (6-1) beat the Patriots (5-4). Maryvale bounced back from Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Mount de Sales on Thursday.
Edgewood 3, Havre de Grace 0: Zyianna Rowlette had six aces and a kill and Sofia Ortiz had 10 assists, three aces, and a kill to lead the host Rams over the Warriors. Edgewood won, 25-15, 25-15, 25-19.
Boys soccer
Reservoir 1, Mount Hebron 0, OT: Jonathan Jimenez scored the game-winner with an assist from Kai Lewis on Thursday. The Gators extended their winning streak to six games, three in overtime.
Gerstell 5, Saints Peter & Paul 0: Justin Rudo and Gauge Hamburg had two goals each and the host Falcons (5-3-2, 2-2 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference) shut out the Sabres (0-5, 0-4). The win ended a two-game slide. Preston Harris made four saves for Gerstell.
Girls soccer
Sparrows Point 3, Patterson Mill 0: Ally Foos made 14 saves to earn the shutout for the Pointers in their nonconference match against the Huskies. Chelsea Stubel, Lilah Kern and Reaghan Wheeler scored goals in the win, while Ami Walters handed out two assists. Ella Shriner made 11 saves to the Huskies.
Elkton 4, North Harford 1: The host Golden Elks beat the Hawks (2-7). Tuesday, North Harford travels to Rising Sun.
St. Mary’s 2, Friends 0: Freshman Keely Orndorff scored both goals for the host Saints (5-2, 1-1 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference). Kaylen Burnam and Addison Sides each had an assist. The Quakers fell to 4-6, 0-4.
