Field hockey
Glenelg 14, Howard 0: Meghan Walker scored four goals and Brinkley Eyre and Lexi Winters each added three for the Gladiators. Eyre also had three assists, while Cate Stanley had two goals and one assist.
River Hill 2, Marriotts Ridge 0: After a scoreless first half, the Hawks got goals from Katelyn Sauritch and Victoria Hammer in the second. Sanah Ahmed made five saves to secure the shutout.
Reservoir 6, Wilde Lake 0: Sam Feher had two goals and one assist while Abbie Frisvold, Sandra Salkini, Sophie Poulos and Claire Kimnach each had one goal for the Gators.
Bel Air 5, Perryville 0: Paige Feick contributed to all five Bobcats goals, scoring once and assisting four. Bella Leon added two goals while Avery Frank and Kaitlyn Carlsen scored a goal apiece.
Fallston 4, Rising Sun 1: Layla King, Sarah Gent, Sydney Grafton and Jenna Krastel scored for the Cougars. Avery Lane made five saves.
Boys soccer
Severn 3, Park 0: Charlie Kuelman, John Caswell (one assist) and Will Cawlfield each scored for the Admirals while Kiernan Davids added an assist. Conner Leach made two saves while Zack Waugh had one.
Girls soccer
North County 2, Broadneck 1: The Knights upset the top-seeded Bruins in the second round of the AACPS Showcase.
Crofton 3, Annapolis 0: The third-seeded Cardinals won and will face Severna Park on Wednesday in the AACPS Showcase.
Severna Park 8, Southern 0: The Falcons shut the Bulldogs out en route to clinching a spot in the third round of the AACPS Showcase. They will face Crofton next.
Patterson Mill 2, Bel Air 1: Grayson McLaughlin scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Colin Luddy late in the second half to lift the Huskies. McLaughlin assisted Jackson Burke for the first Patterson Mill goal. Isiah Trayham scored for Bel Air on an assist from Ronin Klisiewecz.
Chesapeake 1, South River 0: Kendall Kotofski scored the game-winner on a penalty kick to lead the Cougars over the Seahawks in the AACPS Showcase. Ryleigh Smoot made 15 saves for Chesapeake (11-2-0).
Girls volleyball
Arundel 3, Annapolis 0: The Wildcats swept the Panthers to advance to the third round of the AACPS Showcase. Sophia Canuel went 8-for-8 on the service line with seven kills. McHale Hughes matched her on the line with nine assists. Lindsay Lyman (9-for-10) added five kills and three blocks, while Christen Brisbane chipped in six kills. Arundel will face Crofton next.
Old Mill 3, South River 2: The Patriots triumphed in five sets to down the Seahawks for the second time in three weeks. Old Mill will face Broadneck in the third round of the AACPS Showcase on Wednesday.
Crofton 3, Severna Park 1: The Cardinals (7-4) edged the Falcons in four sets (24-26, 25-21, 25-15, 25-20) to advance in the AACPS Showcase. Kennedy Davey steered the Cardinals with 14 assists and three aces while going 12-for-12 on the service line. Vivian Sopha contributed seven kills and Addison Matsui had six. Crofton will face Arundel on Wednesday.
Howard 3, Centennial 0: The Lions won in straight sets, 25-13, 25-19, 25-11. For Howard, McKenna Brown had 10 kills, Kaleigh Williams added eight and Mariska Ordonez had seven. Imagine Peltier totaled 23 assists and Miranda Bell had 12 digs.
Broadneck 3, Severn Run 0: The Bruins were led by Julia Rubino (18 service points, 1 ace, 1 kill, 4 digs), Chloe Richie (13 service points, 2 aces, 4 digs), Kennedy Smith (8 kills, 1 block), Anna Graves (11 service points, 2 aces, 8 kills, 1 block, 6 digs), Sydney Lawrence (11 service points, 5 aces, 3 kills, 12 assists, 4 digs) and Barrett Bolter (8 service points, 2 kills, 11 assists, 9 digs).
