A 14-year-old boy has died days after an electric bicycle accident in Chino Hills.
At just before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received word that two boys were involved in a bicycle accident at Rock Springs Drive and Oakland Way, the department said in a news release.
The boys were riding the same e-bike and “neither juvenile was wearing the appropriate helmets required for their age,” deputies said.
One boy was only minorly injured and was treated at the scene, but the other sustained serious injuries and was taken to Pomona Valley Medical Center.
That second boy, whose identity has not been released, succumbed to his injuries, though officials did not say exactly what those injuries were or when he died.
