Jimmy Carr has weighed in the explosive Beckham family feud with his signature dark and sharp-tongued style in his latest comedy show.
The comedian, 53, was asked by the audience to give his thoughts on the current drama surrounding the famous family in the wake of Brooklyn Beckham‘s shocking statement, where he said he didn’t want to reconcile with parents David and Victoria.
In his six-page statement, the eldest Beckham child, 26, accused his parents of intentionally trying to break up his relationship to wife Nicola Peltz.
While he also alleged Victoria, who has her own fashion brand, cancelled making Nicola’s wedding dress at the ‘eleventh hour’ and hijacked their first dance which left him so ’embarrassed’ they decided to renew their vows without his family last year.
But giving his thoughts on the drama onstage, Jimmy took aim at Brooklyn, branding the ‘nepo baby‘ as ‘entitled’ and savagely mocking his numerous failed career ventures.
‘He claimed that he’s not just a ‘nepo baby’, he’s a chef. Eh…’ Jimmy quipped, while pulling a face.

‘I think he’s so entitled, he’s mixed up being a chef with making his own dinner. He probably brushes his teeth and thinks, “I’m actually a f***ing brilliant dentist”.’
While he wasn’t the only one to feel the sting of Jimmy’s acerbic wit, as he also reflected on the online buzz surrounding Victoria’s ‘inappropriate’ dancing with Brooklyn at his wedding.
‘It would appear that Brooklyn Beckham has fallen out with his parents, because his mum did a sexy, grindy dance with him at his wedding’, he said.
‘I find it hard to believe. Victoria Beckham didn’t even dance when she was in the f***ing Spice Girls!’
Laughing along with the crowd, he added: ‘God love him. Hope they’re all right.’
Brooklyn’s numerous and varied career paths have sparked much mockery over the years, with him trying his hand at many different fields with little to no experience or education.
He first tried to forge out a football career just like his dad David, 50, playing in Arsenal’s youth academy, but quit when the club released him at 16 after realising it would be ‘difficult’ to live up to his reputation.
He also tried his hand at photography, resulting in the release of his infamous What I See book in 2017, sharing captures of his life and family.

At the time, Brooklyn was criticised for including blurry, shadowy images of elephants in Kenya as he simply captioned the captures ‘so hard to photograph’.
On the next page, next to another blurry shot of a crowd at a restaurant, the caption said: ‘Dinner. I like this picture – it’s out of focus but you can tell there’s a lot going on.’
He also went into modelling, before eventually setting his sights on cooking and began sharing videos of his various culinary efforts online.
However, he suffered much backlash, being dubbed ‘out of touch’ for using expensive products and mocked over the simpleness of his dishes, such as when when he appeared on the Today show to make a breakfast sandwich.
Brooklyn’s latest venture saw the budding chef launch his own hot sauce company, called Cloud 23, which he claimed had been seven years in the making.
But the brand is very closely linked to his famous parents, as it is named after the No 23 jersey his father David wore at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.
Previously addressing the mockery over all his different jobs, he told Bustle in 2022: ‘My dad knew what he was doing at a very young age… It’s OK to be 25, 26 or even 30 and not know what you’re doing yet. You know what I mean?’
But following his bombshell statement on Monday, fans have argued that he didn’t mind his parents’ help when it came to using the family ‘brand’ as a springboard for his career changes and how he has his billionaire heiress wife to ‘fall back’.

They said: ‘Y’all not going to convince me that Brooklyn Beckham is a victim of his parents when they supported him in every one of his careers, especially when they financed his photography facet and that was his job. I’m dying at the descriptions’;
‘Brooklyn Beckham crying all over his instagram about his controlling parents but is verrrrry happy to keep their family name behind his 419823 failed careers’;
‘If the Beckham’s are so bad, why did Brooklyn wait until he was 26 to cut them off? Could it be that he now has a billionaire heiress wife to fall back on? It’s not like he left home at 18 & is trying to find his way in life, living in shared accommodation’;
‘Brooklyn Beckham would be working in lidl without his famous parents I think he should be careful slagging them off he’s nothing without them’;
In his impassioned statement, Brooklyn claimed he has been ‘controlled by a family that values public promotion above all else’ and that since being with Nicola, he has found ‘peace and relief’ after battling crippling anxiety.
Despite once proudly declaring he was a ‘mama’s boy’, he focused on Victoria in the post, with his vitriolic comments reportedly leaving her ‘on the floor in pieces’.
Among Brooklyn’s long list of claims was the accusation that his mum ‘hijacked’ his first dance at his wedding to wife Nicola, 31, and ‘danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone’, before accusing his parents of trying to ruin his relationship.

Brooklyn went as far as to say that ‘Brand Beckham comes first’ and the ‘family values public promotion above all else’ in his statement.
Over the years, Victoria, 51, has worked hard to protect Brooklyn from stories in the past that ‘did not always paint him in the best of lights.’
A source has since said that the fashion designer would usually avoid a family fall-out but feels her son and his wife Nicola have been ‘unreasonable.’
They said: ‘Victoria feels betrayed because she’s done everything she can to make them both feel welcome and love Nicola like another daughter.’
The source added to The Mirror: ‘But she feels it’s been thrown back in her face. She would normally do anything to avoid a family fallout, but she thinks they’re both being unreasonable.’
Daily Mail contacted the Beckhams representative for comment.
The Daily Mail’s Katie Hind previously explained how the Beckhams’ camp ‘leapt into overdrive in Brooklyn’s defence’ when stories such as kiss and tells and tales of him being ‘involved him with the wrong crowd’ surfaced.
His parents have often instructed expensive lawyers to protect him against such stories.
David and Victoria would ‘take back Brooklyn back in a minute’ and are said to be ‘horrified’ by events this week, according to another source.
In his scathing post, Brooklyn had accused Victoria of ‘dancing inappropriately’ on him during his 2022 nuptials to Nicola.
Their wedding DJ Fat Tony finally recounted the exact detail of the dance during an appearance on This Morning.
The 60-year-old branded the incident ‘really awkward’ and confirmed that Nicola fled the reception in tears.
Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams, claimed that Marc Anthony was to blame, revealing the musician had called Victoria to the dance floor with her son and instructed him, ‘place your hands on your mother’s hips’.
He said: ‘There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!
‘The word ‘inappropriate’, why I said it was as well, it was the timing, this is what happened.’
Tony continued: ‘What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage.
‘Brooklyn went on to the stage, and the next minute everyone’s expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage – and then he says ‘Victoria, come to the stage’.’
He revealed that Brooklyn looked ‘devastated’ at the fact his first dance was with Victoria and not his wife, adding that Nicola left the room ‘crying her eyes out’.
Tony went on: ‘Brooklyn is stuck there on stage, and they do this dance, and Marc Anthony says ‘put your hands on your mother’s hips’ and it was a Latin thing, and the whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room…
‘I’ve done an awful lot of Beckham parties in the past, and they are a very dancing close-knit family and love to dance, right? So you know, what we deem as ‘inappropriate’ is not how Brooklyn feels.
‘This is all about how Brooklyn feels. If he feels that it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward.
‘What’s sad is that this is the bit that everyone’s taken from the statement, and kind of whitewashed everything else that went on.’
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, the DJ said at one point Brooklyn’s hands were on his mother’s waist while her arms were placed around his neck.
‘The timing was inappropriate for me. It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment,’ he told us.
‘I’m not speaking bad about either party in it, I’m just putting the narrative straight about the dance.’
