A man was found fatally shot multiple times inside a vehicle in north Harris County, sparking an active investigation with no suspects identified yet.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — An investigation is underway after deputies say a man was found fatally shot inside a pickup truck in north Harris County.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies with Pct. 4 Constable’s Office responded to Vistadale Drive near Beigewood Drive at around 4 p.m.
Detectives say a man, believed to be in his 20s, arrived at the neighborhood for what was described as a “pre-arranged” meetup. The reason for the meeting is unclear.
“Once our victim arrived in the area, we believe that he met these individuals that he had come here to meet — and at some point those individuals charged on our victim, shooting inside the truck, striking him and killing him at the scene.”
Deputies believe about four to five suspects were involved. They were last seen wearing dark clothing, with several of them wearing ski masks. At this time, they remain on the run.
