A hit-and-run in northwest Harris County left two men critically injured, sparking an urgent search for a silver vehicle.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A hit-and-run crash left two pedestrians critically injured in northwest Harris County Sunday night.
Deputies responded to the scene on Jones Road near Mills Road. Deputy Cameron Johnson with the sheriff’s office said both pedestrians were transported to the hospital in critical condition and are still receiving treatment. Investigators believe both victims are adult males.
Authorities said the striking vehicle left the scene before deputies arrived. Based on debris found in the roadway, investigators believe the suspect vehicle may be silver in color. Deputies are continuing to search for surveillance video that could help identify the vehicle.
Investigators said there is no crosswalk or sidewalk in that area of Jones Road. The pedestrians appear to have been walking southbound along the roadway, either on or just outside the shoulder, when they were struck by a vehicle also traveling southbound.
Anyone with information about the crash or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
