Kate Connick has moved to Melbourne to join the cast of beloved Australian soap opera Neighbours.
The daughter of crooner Harry Connick Jr will be playing Fallon Morell, the half-sister of Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis).
The 27-year-old has relocated to the trendy Melbourne suburb of Collingwood and says she has had to add some edge to her appearance to fit in.
‘I feel like I’m definitely living in the ‘cool’ area, so I got a second piercing just to try to fit in. Collingwood reminds me of Brooklyn a bit’ she tells this week’s issue of Stellar Magazine.
Harry’s daughters visited Australia while he was filming Australian Idol last year and decided to remain in the country and study.
Kate, whose full name is Sarah Kate Connick, says she has settled into life Down Under and doesn’t plan to leave any time soon.

‘I love nature. I’ve spent a lot of time in Byron Bay, too – I love it there. I just honestly feel like this is home now, at this point’ she said.
‘So yeah, my sisters and I have decided to stay, and we’re really happy’.
Kate’s Neighbours character is set to ‘spell trouble for many an Erinsborough resident’ and her two-month storyline will air next year.
‘The storyline is crazy, with lots of plot twists,’ she told the Herald Sun of the new role, which sees her playing the jealous American relative of established character Krista.
The budding actress kicked off her career starring in the Australian comedy series Shambleton in 2023.
Kate’s mother is model and actress Jill Goodacre Connick, 60, who has been married to singer Harry since 1994.
Harry’s three adult daughters have revealed the problem they have with Aussie men after relocating Down Under.
Georgia, 28, Charlotte, 22, and Kate told news.com.au at the AACTA Awards earlier this year that they love living in Australia but have noticed a common issue with men.

‘To be honest, they’re a little reserved,’ Georgia said.
Her sisters agreed, with Sarah adding: ‘This is our message, ‘You can approach us and we like to be approached’.’
Harry also said he’d be happy for one of his daughters to date a local as ‘there’s some good guys down here.’
‘Our daughters are brilliant, driven, highly discerning and wonderful people that expect nothing but the very best out of everybody who finds them interesting,’ he added.
Harry will joined Australian shock jock Kyle Sandilands, American singer Meghan Trainor and Australian musician Amy Shark on the new season of Australian Idol.
Seven announced plans for an Idol reboot back in 2020.
At the time, the network slated the show for a 2022 release, but it went ahead in 2023 instead.
Based on the global Pop Idol format – the most-watched TV franchise in history – Australian Idol aired from 2003 to 2009 on Channel 10.

Harry arrived in the Australia in late 2022 to start filming and the Connicks have stayed in Australia since.
His on-screen bickering with fellow judge Sandilands continues to make headlines.
While their rivalry has caused plenty of tension, Kyle says he has nothing but ‘respect’ for the American hitmaker, 57.
‘People keep saying it’s some kind of “feud”, but it’s not a feud. Harry is Harry. He’s nice, he’s a muso… he’s an artist, with all the flowery bulls**t that comes with being an artist,’ Kyle told Daily Mail Australia.
‘It’s fun to have a little bit of controversy on [the show],’ he added with a smile.
Kyle explained the two men were always going to clash because of their differing views on what kind of advice should be given to the contestants.
While Kyle worked in commercial radio for decades and believes aspiring popstars should focus on delivering non-stop hits, Harry believes artistic expression is paramount to a successful career.
‘He’s very nice. We just have different opinions on what is important. But I’m still very respectful of him, and he’s very respectful of me,’ Kyle explained.
‘There’s no snarling at each other in the background. I wouldn’t put up with that.’
He also noted that ‘extremely polite’ Harry had a shock when he first met Kyle, who is known for his acid tongue and no-holds-barred attitude.
‘When he first got to Australia, he was like, ‘Holy f**k, who is this guy telling kids, “You suck, get out!”?
‘That was probably very confronting for him, because he’s soft and nice,’ he explained.
