WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – It’s Election Day and soon results will start rolling in as polls close across America.
Everyone is closely watching the race for president and following both candidates.
The Harris campaign has set up space on the campus of Howard University for their official election party Tuesday night.
The vice president will be at her alma mater later, but she’s spending Election Day doing radio interviews with hosts in all seven battleground states.
“That’s what my focus is right now today, I must admit, which is making sure everybody knows the power of their voice through their vote,” said Harris.
The Harris campaign has spent months pouring time and money into winning over voters, especially in the seven battleground states expected to decide this election.
Tuesday, she did phone interviews with radio hosts in each of battleground states, including with the V103 morning show in Atlanta.
“We have two very different visions of the future of our nation. And mine is focused on progress. Mine is focused on investing in the ambitions and the aspirations and the dreams of the American people,” said Harris.
Harris will be watching the results roll in just a couple of miles away from the White House at her alma mater, Howard University.
Harris revealed before going to Howard’s campus she will be having dinner with her family at home, which she calls a tradition.
