WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – As the presidential election gets closer both campaigns are visiting swing states and putting out new ads.
Vice President Kamala Harris is out with a new ad about housing affordability.
While the Trump-Vance team is on the campaign trail blaming the Biden-Harris administration for inflation.
In a $150 million ad buy Vice President Kamala Harris says if elected she’ll build three million new homes and help first-time buyers with their downpayments.
The ads are airing in battleground states, including Nevada, where Congressman Steven Horsford says people are struggling.
“I hear from constituents all the time about the concern about the price of rent, about the affordability of housing,” Horsford said.
Meanwhile Republican vice-presidential candidate Senator JD Vance says Harris’ plans will fail.
“You’ve had your chance, you failed and we’re not giving you a promotion,” said Vance.
At a campaign stop in Michigan, Vance blamed the Biden-Harris administration for higher prices at the grocery store and gas pump.
“She cast the tie breaking vote for the inflation explosion act. What she has done has been a disaster,” said Vance.
Vance will talk more about the economy today in both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, while Harris and Walz are launching a bus tour through Georgia.
