HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DC News Now) — One of Maryland’s longest-running manufacturing businesses celebrated 118 years in business Wednesday announcing plans to take on a global partner.
Jamison Door Company is a specialty steel firm featuring roll-up and cold-storage doors.
Company president and CEO, Dwight Clark, hosted a breakfast session for employees and local leaders to announce an investment from a firm in Italy that will take Jamison to new heights.
“We’re an iconic brand in our industry,” Clark said. “We’re the oldest and strongest name in the industry and now we are looking at building new plants.”
Paul Browning, a 31-year employee at Jamison, said the company does “a lot for the whole community. It’s really a great effort by our company and the employees together.”
Among Jamison’s biggest customers: are Amazon, Costco, Walmart and Sam’s Club.
