Dua Lipa is more than “just a girl” to Gwen Stefani.
The No Doubt frontwoman, 54, complimented the “Houdini” songstress, 29, in a new Instagram post featuring photos of the pair hanging out together at the 2024 iHeart Radio Festival, where they both performed sets on Friday, Sept. 20.
In a post that Stefani shared on Saturday, Sept. 21, the two musicians could be seen posing together in monochromatic outfits. They beamed at the camera in two of the three shots, while in the third, Lipa blew a kiss to the camera.
Stefani wore a white fringed minidress with matching white thigh-high boots and held a fuzzy white shrug. She completed the look with a sleek ponytail, pearl and cross necklaces, silver rings and silver studs.
As for Lipa, she rocked a black top with a silver bralette and a matching black zip-up skirt. She had her hair styled in soft curls and wore minimal jewelry in the shots.
“Got to hang with the prettiest girl in the world last night love u dua ♡,” Stefani captioned the photos.

The two singers have met before and even appeared together on a 2020 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! when the “One Kiss” singer was guest hosting the show for Jimmy Fallon. During the show, she mistakenly referenced Blake Shelton as Stefani’s “husband.” However, the pair were not yet married at the time, as they tied the knot a year later in 2021.
“So I heard that you’ve been spending quarantine with your husband Blake Shelton at the ranch in Oklahoma. Who else was with you? How was that?” Lipa asked Stefani, who responded at the time, “Um, well … he’s not my husband, but that sounded cool when you said it.”
Lipa quietly replied, “Oh,” before the pair shared a laugh.
Stefani’s post comes as she returns to The Voice as a coach for the show’s upcoming 26th season, alongside Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé.
She is also preparing to release her fifth studio album, Bouquet, on Nov. 15, which will be her first new album in seven years. She debuted her single “Somebody Else’s” on Friday, Sept. 22.
“I’m never going to write anything that’s not just completely reflective of what’s going on in my life,” Stefani previously told PEOPLE in a cover story last year.
“Before I wrote my first song, I was this dyslexic girl who didn’t know how I fit in. Then I was like, ‘Oh, this is my magic power,’ ” she added at the time. “I’m so honored that I got the gift to be able to write music, and I take it super seriously.”
