On Saturday morning, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders voted early in the 2024 election at the Dunbar Recreation Center, joined by her family.
She briefly spoke with media and emphasized the importance of Arkansans getting out to vote.
“I think that everybody that has the ability should get out and vote,” Gov. Sanders stated. “There’s a lot of locations all around the state that they can go and cast their ballot. I think it’s one of the most important duties that we have and a great way to let your voice be heard.”
The governor also mentioned being proud getting to vote alongside her family and share that experience together.
“We think it’s important for our kids to learn from an early age how important voting is and they’ve been with us every time we’ve voted,” Sanders said. “We enjoy getting to do this together as a family.”
The governor also said she is proud to cast her vote for Donald Trump and she feels he is going to win big in Arkansas and across the country. She also voted against issue two, saying she felt a casino in Pope County has already been decided on by voters in that area.
