WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The matchup for the 2024 Go Bowling Military Bowl was announced Sunday afternoon.
North Carolina State and East Carolina will face off in the Military Bowl on Saturday, December 28 at 5:45 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.
Both teams have been on solid late-season runs as they earned their bowl bid. The matchup also features an in-state North Carolina rivalry which should make things interesting.
“Cross state rivalry, two teams, not sure how much they like each other, but it’ll make for some great football,” Military Bowl president and executive director Steve Beck said. “Both teams on the way up, both have some great individual players that we’ll look forward to see.”
Along with the bowl game, the Military Bowl Foundation operates the DC Touchdown Club and Patriot Point, which is a retreat for recovering service members, their families and caregivers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Through the bowl game, players from both times will have the opportunity to spend the week in the Washington D.C. area.
