A teenage girl is in critical condition after she was found with a gunshot wound at an apartment in Los Angeles.
Preliminary information from a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson indicates officers responded to the 700 block of East 108th Street in the city’s Green Meadows neighborhood at 7:38 p.m. Friday.
Upon arriving, the officers found a 14-year-old inside the location suffering from a gunshot wound, the spokesperson said.
She was rushed to a hospital where she is in critical but stable condition, the spokesperson added.
Whether the shooting was gang-related was not immediately established, and no suspect description was immediately available.
