A 12-year-old girl reported that she was sexually assaulted at a bus stop in Pasadena on Wednesday, according to police.
The girl was at the bus stop in the 300 block of North Lake Avenue that morning when she says a man sat next to her and assaulted her, Lt. Monica Cuellar with the Pasadena Police Department told KTLA 5 News.
The assailant then got up and headed south away from the bench, Cuellar added.
The girl reported the assault shortly before 9:30 a.m. when she arrived at school.
The exact nature of the assault has not been disclosed, but the child was not injured, only shaken up, police said.
