A GARDENER will be paid £1million in bet winnings after a five-year battle with Paddy Power.
Corrinne Durber, 62, won her High Court case over an online game jackpot she landed in 2020.
She was told she had won £1,097,132.71 — but Paddy Power said there was a glitch so she would get only £20,265.24.
Yesterday, High Court judge Justice Ritchie ordered the betting giant to pay £1,076,867.57 to Corrinne, from Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucs.
She said: “I’m so happy the judge has confirmed I won fair and square.
“They have been deceitful and tried their very best to deny me my rightful winnings.
“What’s the point in betting if betting companies won’t pay up?”
Corrinne sought legal advice after becoming aware of Coyle White Devine through the firm’s successful work for Andy Green, who won a claim through a similar ‘computer glitch’ claimed by Betfred.
He eventually won £1.7 million in a High Court judgment in 2021.
Flutter UKI, which owns Paddy Power, said: “We deeply regret this unfortunate case and are reviewing the judgment.”
