Fury as Starmer welcomes British-Egyptian ‘extremist’ back into UK after travel ban

THE PM has come under fire for welcoming back into the UK a British- Egyptian activist who called for Zionists’ deaths.

Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick says Sir Keir Starmer should be ashamed of supporting Alaa Abd El-Fattah, who had incited violence against Jewish people.

Democracy activist El-Fattah, 44, has posted a string of controversial social media messages, including saying: “Yes, I consider killing any colonialists and specifically Zionists heroic.

“We need to kill more of them.”

He also wrote about “advocating killing police” and “hating white people”.

He has been jailed in Egypt for most of the past ten years but arrived back here on Boxing Day.

The PM said his case had been a government priority, stating: “I’m delighted Alaa Abd El-Fattah is back in the UK.”

Mr Jenrick said: “Starmer taking to social media to laud this man is sickening.

“This awful extremist should never have stepped foot in the UK again.

“Starmer and his Cabinet seem more interested in cosying up to Islamists than keeping British people safe.”
