Furious Strictly Come Dancing fans have claimed that one star is ‘breaking the rules’ and accused judges of giving them ‘special treatment’ in a show first on Saturday night.
Opera singer Wynne Evans, 52, is paired with professional dancer Katya Jones on the current series and this week they performed a Rumba for Icons week to Shirley Bassey‘s song This Is My Life.
He scored an impressive 30 points for the routine from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.
But some viewers took to Twitter to accuse him of breaking the show rules after the singer sang the final line of the song to end his routine and showed off his incredible voice.
They said it wasn’t fair he was able to show off the talents of his day job when others on the show don’t get to do the same – suggesting he focus more on the dancing.

Opera singer Wynne Evans , 52, is paired with professional dancer Katya Jones on the current series and this week they performed a Rumba for Icons week to Shirley Bassey ‘s song This Is My Life.
At the end of the dance host Tess Daly said: ‘You blew the hair off the back of my arms there. That was something. We know Wynne can sing but how was that rumba?’
Anton Du Beke was full of praise, saying it was the ‘best ending to any number I’ve ever seen in my entire life’, adding: ‘That was unbelievable. I loved that.’
But fans said they thought it was unfair he was allowed to sing, writing online: ‘Second week in a row Katya danced around a barely moving Wynne and singing is not dancing.’,
‘Wynne singing over and over again in a dancing competition really was not required.’,
‘I’m sorry this isn’t a singing competition. How is it fair that Wynne gets to sing at the end? Always giving him new rules & special treatment.’,
‘Wynne just stood while Katya danced round him and then spent the last 20 seconds singing (when it isn’t a singing show) just wanting more attention.’,
‘Those scores do NOT match what he did. I repeat last week’s thoughts.’
However others loved his singing as they penned: ‘Really loved Wynne’s routine & the powerful & inspiring message it gave, not to mention the amazing vocal finish at the end! He should be really proud!’,

‘Wynne may have sacrificed some dancing for his passion for the song choice. I did enjoy the performance, though.’
It comes after Wynne found himself in further controversy after a ‘vulgar’ joke he reportedly made behind-the-scenes was ‘leaked’.
He is reported to have quipped that his double chin resembled female genitalia as he got his make-up done backstage.
Insiders claim that Wynne made the unsavoury joke ahead of the BBC contest’s glitzy launch show and was said in a private conversation with a make-up artist.
A source told The Mirror: ‘It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke.’
The publication states that at least one other person was in the room at the time, adding that the make-up artist was not offended by Wynne’s joke.
It is said that while formal complaints were not made, staff members were not amused.
The insider went on to add: ‘Wynne clearly didn’t mean any offence, but you have to be a little bit careful these days.’
A friend of Wynne’s is said to have claimed that Wynne’s cheeky comment was ‘a slice of self-deprecation’ and said confidentially to the make-up artist while others were present.
MailOnline contacted representatives of Strictly and Wynne for comment.
The alleged joke came weeks before the Welsh singer and actor was embroiled in a ‘wandering hand’ incident with his professional partner Katya.

Viewers spotted the toe-curling moment Katya moved Wynne’s hand away from her waist and snubbed his attempt at a high-five with her.
The dance partners then spent the week defending their awkward exchange during a live show three weeks ago.
The incident caused such concern among BBC top brass, who have spent months firefighting accusations of misconduct on previous series, that a welfare investigation was conducted.
Katya had confirmed that she had not felt uncomfortable and no further action was taken.
