A FORMER reality TV star has been arrested over shocking sex crimes and banned from going anywhere near his pets.
Ex-A&E personality Tony McCollister, 43, who briefly appeared on a show about swingers, was detained on child and animal abuse charges and taken into custody in Warren, Ohio on December 23.
The Friends with Benefits star has since been ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from the two dogs he allegedly abused, as per court records obtained by TMZ.
McCollister has also been banned from being around all animals and minor children.
Court documents specify that he cannot “force sexual relations” involving either minors or pets.
Following his arrest, Warren County Sheriff Barry Riley revealed both dogs were seized by deputies and are now safe.
The shocking case came to light over the weekend when it emerged McCollister had been arrested on disturbing sex crime charges in Ohio.
He was taken into custody in Warren County and charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor and engaging in sexual conduct with animals, according to WLWT.
Prosecutors allege McCollister uploaded child sexual abuse material to his Google account and committed acts involving two dogs he owned.
He was hauled before a judge last week and hit with a $250,000 (£185,000) bond as the sickening allegations surfaced.
McCollister remains behind bars and is due back in court on December 30.
He has already appeared in a virtual court hearing following his arrest, footage obtained by WLWT shows.
The disgraced star was one of the swingers featured on A&E’s 2015 series Neighbors With Benefits, which was yanked off air after just two episodes amid furious backlash.
The series followed “swinger couples in a suburban community,” according to IMDB.
It starred married couples in an Ohio suburb as they explored open relationships while juggling everyday life.
A&E later confirmed it would not air the remaining seven episodes and quietly shelved the series.
After the show was pulled, McCollister told Fox19 NOW in 2015, “We got some bad reviews on the first episode and some great reviews on the second episode.”
McCollister and his then-partner Diana featured in the show and share three children together. The former couple share three children, according to Us Weekly.
At the time, Diana said: “We did it for a reason. We want our story told.
“This is how we swing. We just want to show our side of things because we do feel like we’re happy.
“We have a great life.”
“It keeps your marriage exciting,” she added.
“There are no boundaries. We don’t know what we are going to do tomorrow or the next day or the day after.”
McCollister reiterated: “The lifestyle isn’t for everyone. You’re not going to force your spouse into it and have it end well.
“There are a lot of negative things that go along with this but it can be a very positive thing if you approach it in an open honest way with open honest communication.”
