BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Congratulations to former Virginia Tech Hokie and NFL quarterback Michael Vick being named as part of the 18-member 2025 College Football Hall of Fame class.
Vick played two seasons in Blacksburg leading the Hokies to the 1999 national title game and the Sugar Bowl.
He finished 3rd in the 1999 Heisman Trophy voting. Vick became the number 1 pick by Atlanta in the 2001 NFL draft. He played 13 seasons in the NFL.
Since retiring from the NFL, has worked as an analyst for Fox Sports and was recently named the new head football coach at Norfolk State University.
Vick is the ninth inductee affiliated with Virginia Tech football to be enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame. He will be officially inducted in Las Vegas, on Dec. 9.
