FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A two-alarm fire broke out Friday afternoon in Crosspointe, crews with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said.
In a post made on social media just after 4 p.m., the department said firefighters were on the scene of a two-alarm fire in the 8300 block of Ivy Green Road.
When units arrived, they saw heavy fire coming from the attached garage, upgrading the fire to a second alarm.
By the time of the post, the fire was under control.
Five people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No firefighters were hurt.
