Universal Studios has announced its first theme for the upcoming Halloween Horror Nights season.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s is coming in a whole new way to this year’s Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in both Hollywood and Orlando,” a social media account for both events announced Sunday.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s” is a survival horror game in which the player works a night shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and must avoid being killed by animatronic mascots that come to life at night.
The game was later adapted into a 2023 horror movie, which became the highest-grossing horror film of that year, according to Deadline.
A poster for the sequel, “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,” was also revealed on Sunday.
Universal has yet to announce how it will bring “Five Nights at Freddy’s” to life this Halloween, but has teased that more details will be announced soon.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood will run select nights beginning on Sept. 4 to Nov. 2
