A FISHERMAN has been tragically killed in a horror crocodile attack while collecting his nets.
Brono Kamil Nahak was last seen heading towards the river to carry out his routine job.
When the 25-year-old failed to return, concerned colleagues went to search that evening.
However, they only found the victim’s T-shirt, shoes, cap, motorbike, and a ripped net at his fishing spot in Kinabatangan, Malaysia.
Suspecting he might have been attacked by a crocodile, they immediately informed the local fire department.
A search operation was then launched and the victim’s body was reportedly found less than a mile from where was apparently dragged into the water by the croc.
Riki Mohan Singh Ramday, spokesperson for the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, said: “Upon arrival, a search operation was conducted.
“The victim’s body was found by the team about one kilometre from where he was believed to have been attacked by the crocodile.”
The official added that the firefighting team had to travel nearly 50 miles to the remote location.
The fisherman’s body was handed over to the police to investigate his exact cause of death.
