WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A firefighter was injured as crews battled a house fire in Southeast, D.C. Tuesday morning.
In a post on X, the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said that shortly after 5 a.m., units were on the scene of a fire in the 4400 block of 3rd Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters noticed smoke coming from the house.
The fire was marked under control.
One firefighter was injured and treated at the scene.
According to the DCFD, the house was under construction and no one was inside.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
