The FBI has joined the search for missing University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki, who went missing nearly a week ago while on spring break with friends in the Dominican Republic.
Police in the popular tourist spot Punta Cana said they are re-interviewing people who were with 20-year-old Kananki in the early morning hours of March 6 at a beach in front of the Riu República Hotel.
The search for Konanki, an Indian citizen and permanent US resident, entered its fifth day Tuesday. The young pre-med student was on a spring break vacation with friends from the University of Pittsburgh when she went missing Thursday.
