Fans have hit back after vicious trolls attacked Liam Payne‘s ex girlfriends for remaining silent just days after the singer’s shock death on Wednesday.
The One Direction star’s death has devastated fans around the world, after he fell from a third floor of a hotel in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires.
And while a sea of tributes have poured in from the star’s former band members and friends from within the industry, Liam’s former girlfriends Cheryl, Naomi Campbell and Danielle Peazer are choosing to process the grief in private.
The singer’s most high-profile romance was with singer Cheryl, with whom he shares son Bear, seven.
Fans rushed to send their support to Cheryl, 41, as they called out vile trolls who berated the Girls Aloud star for not speaking out on his death.

Tributes have poured in from the star’s former band members and friends but, Liam’s former girlfriends Cheryl, Naomi Campbell and Danielle Peazer (pictured) have remained silent – unerstandably choosing to process their grief in private.
Warning trolls to be kind, they expressed their sympathies to the mother-of-one at this exceptionally difficult time.
While Cheryl has chosen not to share her grief and remain private, her management Simon Jones PR released a statement and also extended their thoughts to Cheryl and Bear.
He wrote: ‘Still in shock and heartbroken about the death of Liam. I worked closely with him for six years and will always have the happiest memories of our amazing times together all over the world and the incredible journey we all went on.
‘I’m deeply sad for his family, his bandmates, all the fans who loved him and Cheryl and his son’.
Liam’s bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik also all mentioned Bear in their touching tributes.
Lorraine Kelly also shared her concerns for Cheryl and Bear during her show on Thursday as she said: ‘I can’t stop thinking about his wee boy Bear. His mum Cheryl is going to have to tell him she is going to have to break the news to him. And as you said he’s only seven years-old.’
Liam first met Cheryl, then 24, when he was just 14-years-old auditioned for the X Factor back in 2008 for the first time.
The pair’s romance is said to have started in December 2015 when they got reacquainted at the X Factor final.

Meanwhile Naomi Campbell is also yet to comment on Liam’s death after the couple were rumoured to have enjoyed a brief romance back in 2019.
Liam was linked to the supermodel, who is 23 years older than him, with the couple said to have enjoyed a four-month fling that ended in April after Naomi got ‘bored’ of the singer.
It began with a seemingly harmless flirtation on Instagram, liking and commenting on one another’s steamy posts.
There were reports about Liam bragging about the couple’s ‘mind-blowing’ sex, but when Naomi was asked outright about the tryst on The Jonathan Ross Show she said the rumours were ‘humorous’. Any romance appeared to end shortly after this.
Liam’s first public girlfriend Danielle Peazer has not posted anything on social media since the sad news broke.
The model, who is now in a relationship and shares daughter Mia with Sonny Jay, dated Liam on and off from 2010 when they both met on the X Factor.
They split in 2012 but were thought to have enjoyed a very brief reconciliation back in 2022.

Liam later enjoyed a very brief summer romance with model Cairo Dwek, with their two-month relationship coming to an end in September 2018 after two months of dating.
The star confirmed their split when fans quizzed him on his relationship status – bizarrely beneath one of singer John Mayer’s live Instagram videos.
After John told fans he was single, Liam quickly shut down speculation adding: ‘I’m single too,’ followed by a wink emoji.
Cairo hasn’t spoke out on Liam after revealing in July she was engaged to her boyfriend Arran Yentob as she wrote: ‘YES YES YES!!!!!!!!! Thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world and for loving me so completely’.
