JEFFREY Epstein is feared to have kept “zombie” plants that produced an untraceable drug known to block victim’s free-will, the latest files suggest.

Emails show Epstein asked a close confidant about “trumpet plants” with the paedo financier potentially referring to the highly poisonous “Angel’s Trumpet” toxin.

Angel’s Trumpet plants are extremely dangerous, as they produce a terrifying drug called scopolamine.

Scopolamine, also known as devil’s breath, is often described as sending users into a dissociative state that can cause hallucinations.

In the worst cases, it can make people become submissive and even lose their memories while they’re on the drug.

Its side effects have led to it being described as causing users to enter a zombie-like state.

The South American drug is sometimes used to help treat issues such as nausea and motion sickness but is now used recreationally.

In large doses, it can be lethal.

The UK Addiction Treatment Centres have warned that in nations such as Colombia, where it is known as burundanga, the drug is used with sinister intent.

Several reports claim users have been coerced into carrying out depraved acts after being spiked with the drug.

Local media describe the effects as being similar to mind control where the user is able to be manipulated due to their state of mind.

The toxin is also difficult to detect in standard toxicology screenings.

It is often used as a date rape drug in South America for these reasons.

Epstein never formally named the drug during the emails found within the latest batch of documents into his network of criminality.

But in a separate email, he was sent an article talking about the effects of scopolamine and the Angel’s Trumpet it comes from.

This is the latest bombshell to emerge from the Epstein files which have now all been released, according to Pam Bondi.

Hundreds of high-profile names were listed across the docs, with Bondi declaring that no one was shielded from public scrutiny to spare them “embarrassment”.

According to DOJ figures, more than 3.5million pages were ultimately released.

One of the most high-profile names to appear thousands of times is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The former prince was known to have a relationship with Epstein but denies having any knowledge of his network of criminal activity.

The latest docs have unearthed several accusations against Andrew and shown his friendship with Epstein was far closer than imagined.

Police forces across the country are now set to form a national group to step up enquiries into the ex-royal and his ties to Epstein.

Last week, we revealed how bombshell Epstein files showed Andy leaked trade envoy documents to his friend and convicted sex offender.

The royal outcast passed confidential files to Epstein regarding trips he made as UK trade envoy in November 2010.

This included details of secret meetings with politicians and public figures in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam.

What is scopolamine?

A TERRIFYING drug dubbed Devil’s Breath is able to turn victims into compliant “zombies” before they’re robbed, kidnapped or even killed.

Also known as scopolamine or burundanga, the powerful drug is derived from the seeds of the Borrachero tree and was once tested by the CIA as a truth serum.

In doses as small as 10mg, it can paralyse victims and leave them highly susceptible to commands, making them easy prey for criminals.

Victims lose their will, forget what happened, and often hand over PINs, valuables and passwords without a fight.

Backstreet chemists can extract 90 per cent pure scopolamine with little more knowledge than a second-year science student.

In grapefruit juice, the drug is even more potent because the juice slows the body’s ability to break it down.

Victims describe the effect of the drug as hypnotic and horrifying.

Fernando, a 64-year-old Brit, believes he was drugged while on a work trip to Bogotá in 2012.

He told The Telegraph: “It’s very dangerous because you’re totally hypnotised, you do anything they say.”

He said he blacked out after sipping a spiked beer and woke up the next day with €1,000 gone.

Security later confirmed he’d wandered back to his hotel, retrieved a card from his safe, and left again—while still under the influence.

“It does something to your brain where you forget completely… it’s like a vacuum,” he added.

The following month, Andrew reportedly forwarded “confidential” docs about the proposed reconstruction of Helmand Province in Afghanistan.

Misconduct in public office offences carry a maximum punishment of life in prison.

Ex-PM Gordon Brown is among those demanding “a full inquiry”, as cops are under mounting pressure to launch a criminal investigation.

The King said he “stands ready” to support any police probe, while Kate and Wills say they are “deeply concerned” about the revelations.

Across The Pond, Hillary Clinton has called on Andrew to appear before the US Congress over his ties to the convicted paedophile.

The former US presidential candidate, 78, has already agreed to testify alongside husband Bill in an investigation into the disgraced financier.

And asked whether Andrew should appear before the committee, she said: “I think everyone should testify who is asked to testify.”
