Daisy Campbell has revealed she has been axed from Emmerdale after starring on the show for 13 years.
The actress, 21, has played the role of Amelia Spencer on the hit ITV soap since she was just eight-years-old.
Daisy admitted she was ‘shocked’ by the news and has been struggling while filming after ITV bosses called her in to tell her in a meeting.
The soap star confirmed that the departure was not her choice and that her final scenes will air just before Christmas.
Reflecting on the news, she told The Mirror: ‘It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.’

Daisy was told in May that she would be leaving the soap and since she has come to terms with the departure as ‘The Dingles’ family have now all left.
Although the details surrounding her exit storyline remain a secret, it has been revealed that Amelia will not be killed off.
The actress explained: ‘I am pleased the door is being left open. But I can’t say too much about how she leaves.’
Despite the exit storyline being a secret, Daisy confirmed her character will start to see the hidden side of her romance interest Tom King (James Chase).
In recent weeks, viewers have seen her embark on a relationship with abuser Tom.
This comes as she was left completely unaware of his abuse of estranged wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
In 2022, Amelia also became a mother to two-year-old Esther after a surprise pregnancy with Samson Dingle (Sam Hall).
Her parents previously left the dales and the actress has been told by bosses they ran out of storylines for her character.

After finding out about her exit, Daisy revealed to the publication that she only told three of her closest friends and co-stars.
She explained how Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham were left utterly devastated by the news but have been supporting her behind the scenes.
Daisy said: ‘They were upset for me but so supportive. I didn’t tell the rest of the cast my news initially as I wanted the time to process everything. I needed time to grieve the part of Amelia’.
