Elon Musk questioned Jennifer Lopez’s silence about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged sex crimes during a recent appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
While Musk and Rogan discussed Lopez’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris on Monday’s episode of the podcast, they claimed that her former relationship with Combs is a reason voters shouldn’t listen to her.
“JLo was like his ex-girlfriend and it’s like now deciding she’s like warning people against [Donald] Trump,” the Tesla CEO, 53, said. “How many people did she warn against Diddy, right? Oh zero, OK.”
“Maybe we shouldn’t trust her opinion,” he added.
The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper was arrested on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution in September. Prosecutors accused Combs of hosting violent, drug-fueled sex parties called “Freak Offs,” which allegedly took place after his infamous parties.
Dozens of men and women have since filed sexual assault lawsuits against the rapper — with the youngest accuser being just 9 at the time.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55, dated Combs from 1999 to 2001. However, the triple-threat entertainer has not been named in any of the lawsuits and it’s unclear if she was aware of any of his alleged crimes.
Lopez has also not spoken out about her ex’s arrest.
“People in the music entertainment industry had to know that Diddy was like abusing, you know, kids basically and yet they still fed him kids,” Musk added. “Like, where’s the accountability? They had to know.”
Although the SpaceX CEO questioned who knew what was going on behind closed doors, he reportedly used to brag about his close friendship with Combs.
According to a new book, Musk once “boasted” about his ties to Combs while chatting with Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels.
“I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter,” Musk allegedly once told Samuels, per “Character Limit: How Elon Musk Destroyed Twitter.”
Musk, who bought Twitter and turned it into X, reportedly added, “You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot.”
Aubrey O’Day, who was previously signed under Combs’ Bad Boy Records label, also previously hinted that Musk had “friends” involved in the situation.
The tech billionaire has been very outspoken about his support for Trump in the 2024 presidential election, often critiquing the celebrities who have backed his opponent — from Cardi B to Taylor Swift.
Musk and the rest of the country will have to wait until Tuesday night — or potentially even longer — to learn the results of the tight race.
