AN ELDERLY couple have been found dead in their home.
The couple, who lived in Ilkeston, are believed to have tragically died from a gas leak.
Police were called to the Derbyshire property at 10.10am after concern for the couple’s wellbeing.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and found them unconscious.
Sadly, the couple were pronounced dead at the scene.
The man, 89, and the woman, 90, are believed to have died from a gas leak.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service reportedly ventilated the home to make the area safe.
Cops said a file was being prepared for the coroner and inquiries were ongoing to determine the circumstances of the gas leak.
Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward.
