ASHBURN, Va (DC News Now) – Sunday, the Washington Commanders will face the Atlanta Falcons in the final regular-season home game at Northwest Stadium this Sunday.
The Commanders also look forward to getting some help on the defensive line. Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen, who has been out with a pectoral injury since late October, is eyeing his return to action this Sunday.
Back in their week six matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, Allen suffered a torn pectoral injury after having surgery. head coach Dan Quinn told reporters he would be out for the season.
Allen has since made a quick recovery, and has been a full participant at practice throughout the week, and told reporters Thursday that he is preparing to play this week.
“I feel good, I’m excited, ready to play and go out there and be back with the team again,” said Allen.
The team has yet to officially announce the two-time pro-bowler’s return to action, as of Thursday’s practice.
The Commanders will host the Falcons on Sunday night football from Landover, Maryland.
