A woman died early Sunday morning after she was hit by a vehicle in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
The collision occurred at about 4:15 a.m. on the 1300 block of East Vernon Avenue. A woman was crossing Vernon when a vehicle traveling east struck her.
The victim, identified only as a woman in her 50s or 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene. It’s not yet clear if alcohol, drugs or speed were a factor in the crash.
No additional details were immediately made available.
