THIS is the shocking moment a heroic dad tackles a ‘criminal on the run from cops’ before casually scooping up his kid’s bike and walking away.
Dramatic footage revealed a man fleeing an officer across Clapham Common, in London, before a member of the public stepped in to help.
The dad can be seen dropping everything to “rugby tackle” the runner, who was wearing a green jumper, to the ground.
He casually stands up and walks away while brushing himself off, as the officer catches up and restrains the man.
The heroic dad gently jogs over to his kid’s bike and helmet to pick them up before nonchalantly continuing about his way.
He then rejoins the rest of his family as if nothing has happened.
A member of the public captured the incredible tackle and shared the video on Instagram.
It was captioned: “Well done to this bystander for tackling a running criminal to assist police!”
And the words: “Dad mode activate!”
Fans of the video were quick to share their amusement, one penned: “Total Unit Energy.”
“Casually grabbing the bike and jogging to his wife like nothing happened,” said another.
“Best thing on the internet today,” added a third.
“Brilliant work!!,” wrote someone else.
“Good rugby tackle,” agreed another.
The Sun contacted the Metropolitan Police for comment.
