Texas DPS troopers seized about 480 pounds of meth and 40 pounds of black tar heroin after a K-9 was alerted during a traffic stop along I-35.
WACO, Texas — A traffic stop along I-35 early Thursday led to the seizure of more than 500 pounds of illegal drugs in Waco, according to Texas DPS.
A trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety stopped a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. for multiple traffic violations in Waco. During the stop, a DPS K-9 named Karma was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle, DPS said.
Troopers then searched the vehicle and discovered about 480 pounds of methamphetamine and 40 pounds of black tar heroin.
