Despite a rocky few months with Tyreek Hill, the Miami Dolphins still have no intention of trading the eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, according to general manager Chris Grier.
“That’s not anything that we’re pursuing,” Grier told reporters Tuesday. “Now if someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks then we’d consider it. But as of right now, that’s not anything that we’re pursuing.”
Grier said that no teams have called to inquire about Hill, and he said that the team isn’t concerned about the receiver’s commitment to the franchise after he walked back a pseudo trade request made in January.
“He has been here in the building almost every day in the offseason working incredibly hard,” Grier said of Hill. “He’s been in touch with Robert France our new receivers’s coach pretty much every other day. He’s been working and doing all the things to show his teammates that this is where he wants to be. As I told you, when we met with him after the season, he wanted to be here.”
Last week, police were called to Hill’s home due to a domestic dispute, but no charges were filed and the investigation was closed by officers. Grier offered no further comment on the situation.
In Hill’s first two seasons with the Dolphins, he became the first receiver in NFL history to eclipse 1,700 receiving yards twice in their career. But Hill dealt with a wrist injury for the entire 2024 season and missed out on the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, finishing the year with 81 receptions, 959 yards, and six touchdowns.
