Good Counsel holds off the attempted comeback, defeating Gonzaga 26-14.
No. 14 St, John’s at No. 2 DeMatha (Landover, Md.) – WCAC semifinals
DeMatha dominates St. John’s 42-6. The Stags will take on Good Counsel in the WCAC final, a rematch of last year’s championship.
Walter Johnson at No. 9 Paint Branch (Burtonsville, Md.) – MPSSAA 4A 2nd round
Paint Branch continues their winning ways, blowing out Walter Johnson 56-21.
No. 24 Oakdale at No. 23 Sherwood (Sandy Spring, Md.) – MPSSAA 3A 2nd round
Sherwood blanks Oakdale 35-0 to advance in the MPSSAA 3A playoffs.
