A peculiar holiday pizza pie that sold out within minutes last year is returning for 2024.
DiGiorno, the company known for its extensive line of frozen pizzas, announced Tuesday it would be bringing back its limited-time DiGiorno Thanksgiving Pizza.
The pizza was released last fall ahead of Turkey Day and was sold exclusively online. It sold out almost immediately.
This year, the Detroit-style pizza with all the Thanksgiving fixin’s will be available at Kroger Family stores, including Ralphs, Food 4 Less and King Sooper.
The DiGiorno Thanksgiving Pizza is a thick, chewy, rectangular pizza with creamy gravy sauce, diced sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberries and sliced turkey topped with mozzarella and cheddar cheeses and crispy onions.
DiGiorno officials say the oven-ready pie offers all the flavors of the season, without having to worry about “seasoning, stirring or long hours in the kitchen.”
The Thanksgiving pizza is one of the latest entries into DiGiorno’s line of oddity pies.
Last year, the company also released what is arguably the most controversial topping combination imaginable: pineapple and pickle. That pizza was also sold exclusively online and, like the Thanksgiving pizza, sold out almost immediately.
This time though, more people will be have the chance to scratch that curious itch and experience a whole new holiday entree and see if it deserves a spot in the echelon of great Thanksgiving dishes.
The DiGiorno Thanksgiving Pizza will be available later this month with prices starting around $9.99.
