An investigation is underway after at least one deputy opened fire, killing a man described as a suspect in the city of Paramount in Los Angeles County early Thursday morning.
The shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. on the 15000 block of Paramount Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated.
“The suspect was struck by gunfire and pronounced deceased at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel,” the Sheriff’s Department stated.
No information was released about what prompted the deputy, or deputies, to open fire or what the man was suspected of doing.
No deputies were injured in the incident.
