US President Joe Biden was preparing to give his valedictory speech Monday on the opening day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago as pro-Palestinian protesters opposed to the war in Gaza gathered outside. The party is set to rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris, who will formally accept the Democratic nomination as presidential candidate this week.
