(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump delivered his joint address to Congress as Democratic lawmakers in attendance protested and hit back at Trump’s claims.
Author and journalist Bill O’Reilly joined “Morning in America” and said the headline of Trump’s address was that Democrats were ‘hateful’ in their actions throughout the address.
“When you have leadership sitting there not acknowledging anything that the opposing party has done as being worthy, then you have a party in disarray,” O’Reilly said.
Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin delivered the Democrats’ response following Trump’s address. O’Reilly said the speech would not resonate with Americans.
“The people who hate Trump are going to hate him more,” O’Reilly said. “He didn’t damage the Democratic party with his words, they damaged themselves.”
