(NewsNation) — As both political parties look to take a stronghold of the young male vote, Turning Point Action COO Tyler Bowyer believes the Democratic Party is still far from relatable with most young men.
Both Bowyer and progressive influencer Harry Sisson joined “CUOMO” to discuss the fight for the male youth vote from both sides of the aisle ahead of the midterm elections.
According to Tufts University Circle, President Trump took home 56% of the votes of males aged 18-29, compared to Kamala Harris’ 40%.
Sisson suggested Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom “would be excellent candidates” for the 2028 presidential election, to which Bowyer rebuked.
“I’m just cracking up because, you know, Harry’s touting that Kamala Harris is going to be the nominee in 2028, or Pete Buttigieg, or AOC, I think (they are) in the top four in polling,” Bowyer added.
“The Democratic Party is so tone deaf when it comes to what young men are interested in,” he said.
Bowyer conceded Trump must “be able to prove that he’s delivering for young people in a big way” in regards to the economy.
