Project Healthy Minds is a non-profit focused on improving peoples’ access to ‘the life-changing mental health services that they deserve.’
Project Healthy Minds was founded by CEO Phil Schermer in 2020.
‘We partner with musicians, actors, comedians, digital influencers, artists, business executives, civic leaders, and everyday Americans to harness their voices to destigmatize mental health,’ the official website reads.
The non-profit launched ‘the world’s first free mental health marketplace,’ which gives individuals easy access to mental health services.
Thursday, October 10 marked World Mental Health day as well as Project Healthy Minds’ third annual World Mental Health Day festival.

Demi got her start in Hollywood at age nine on Barney & Friends before becoming a household name as a teen on the Disney Channel.
She starred in the beloved Camp Rock film franchise and embarked on a successful music career — that included several tours as a headliner and opener — before age 18.
But fame took a huge toll on Demi, who secretly struggled with addiction and mental health issues during the height of her Disney days.
She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2011 and suffered a near-fatal drug overdose in 2018.
Since then, Demi has used her platform to speak about addiction as well as to fight the stigma around mental health.
