EXCLUSIVE: One of the town’s top law firms is expanding its top tier with two seasoned soldiers.

Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein Lezcano Bobb & Dang has promoted Christopher Namba and Molly Stenson to Partners.

“Chris and Molly are exceptional lawyers who represent the future of Del Shaw Moonves,” Nina Shaw told Deadline today of the boosting of the duo. “Their remarkable judgment, strategic guidance, client relationships, and ability to navigate complex transactions make them invaluable members of the team,” the co-founding partner and power player added. “They are a tremendous asset to our clients. Our firm has been built on diversity and effective dealmaking, and Chris and Molly are champions of both. We congratulate them on their achievements and look forward to their continued contributions to the firm’s future.”

The promotion of Namba and Stenson, who joined Del Shaw in 2019 and 2017 respectively, now pumps the 1989-formed firm’s partnership perch up to 15 attorneys total.

With a focus on showrunners, Stenson’s clients include Fear Factor and Floor Is Lava‘s Anthony Carbone, and Pictionary‘s David Hurwitz, as well as Big Fish Entertainment, Vin Di Bona Productions, its parent company Venture 10 Entertainment, Vox Media Studios, and Ample Entertainment. “I joined Del Shaw Moonves because the firm embodies the best qualities in our profession – integrity, responsiveness, and a passion for furthering our clients’ success,” Stenson said Wednesday. “It is an honor and a privilege to join a partnership I admire so much,” noted the Chapman University School of Law grad, who aided Charlamagne tha God and Kevin Hart’s exclusive 2020 deal with Audible.

Along with Shaw in repping André Holland on his deals for The Dutchman, The Actor, and Love, Brooklyn and Ji-Young Yoo in her arrangements for Expats and playing Zoey in Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters, Harvard Law alum Namba was singing from the same choir book as Stenson today.

“Del Shaw Moonves has an unmatched culture of respect and professionalism, brings out the best in all of its attorneys, and continuously provides the highest possible standard of service to its clients,” says Namba, who has also worked closely with Shaw on matters like Jurnee Smollett‘s Firebug deal with AppleTV.

“I am thrilled to join the partnership of such a storied firm in the industry.”
