PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Police in Prince George’s County and the Maryland Office of the Attorney General (OAG) are investigating a deadly crash that took place in the county early Saturday.
Details are limited; however, in a post on X at around 1:45 a.m., the OAG said that investigators from its Independent Investigations Division were on the scene of a deadly “police-involved collision” at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and East-West Highway in Hyattsville.
Officials did not say how many people died as a result of the crash or whether it was a police officer(s) or civilian(s). In addition, the OAG did not specify what police agency was involved.
DC News Now reached out to the OAG and police but has not yet heard back.
This is a developing story.
