Los Angeles County wildfire victims have until March 10 to apply for disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
Funding is also available for state, tribal, and eligible local governments, as well as certain private nonprofit organizations, for debris removal and more, according to the organization.
Residents can apply for assistance online, by calling the hotline at 800-621-3362 or visiting disaster recovery centers. The locations at UCLA Research Park West and Altadena Disaster Recovery Center are open Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
