On Aug. 22, just before 11:30 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 1800 block of 18th St. for an unconscious child.
Once on the scene, medics took the young child — 1-year-old Jordan Ballard – to the hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Police said doctors performed several life-saving measures, but the boy died.
