WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Officials said firefighters rescued a person trapped inside their car after a water main break in Northwest D.C. Thursday morning.
In a post on the X platform around 8:15 a.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department said crews were called to Michigan Avenue and Park Place for a person struck in their car in high waters.
The fire department said the person, who was rescued, was being evaluated by medics.
At this time, it is unknown if anyone was hurt.
Due to the water main break, commuters riding the Metro Bus can expect delays in both directions on Route H2 at Irving Street and Park Place.
